Tonight I had a show in Eastpoint Florida. An Italian restaurant Mangia850. It was a nice ride to East Point I took the long way going through Carrabelle. Once I arrived at Mangia 850 it's almost like they were waiting on me. Doors were open so it's an easy load in. Nice homey setting. Adjusted my sound after setting up and talk into the folks there making sure I wasn't too loud for the folks that have made reservations to eat there tonight. One gentleman was there eating already by himself and that was the only customers they had. By the time I got my first beer it was getting close to 5:30 and we noticed a group of people showing up for their reservation. It was the nicest group there all night. More to follow packing out the place by 6 p.m. it was such a good crowd I took no breaks from performing. My friends CC and Jim showed up for their 630 reservation. I performed mostly standard easy listening classic rock it's some 90s country for the night. Apparently I was a hit because the owner said I should play every Friday night. Whether he was joking or not I was honored that he mentioned it. I don't have enough Fridays off to do it every night but I sure will return. Btw, they took my order prior to me for forming so I would have a to-go order ready to go once I was done and had my equipment back in my car... they made me a to-go order of the entree "Tour of Italy" I left him was hungry but did not have any utensils with me. I ran around the corner a little bit later and ran into my friend Erin in front of her bar, the Apalachicola Ice Company. Erin is expecting soon as she was hungry. I donated my meals to her that I received from Mangia 850. It looks fantastic but I will be making a return and I will order the same thing and eat in, hopefully.
Peace,
RR
